4 Snacks For Toddlers

As a busy mum I am always striving to provide the kids with nutritious meals and snacks. I don’t have a lot of spare time for meal prepping but these snacks are pretty quick to whip up and the boys love them all.

Yoplait Petit Miam pouches


HOMMUS

200gr Canned chickpeas, drained and rinsed well

30 ml approx of water to thin mixture

1/4 of fresh lemon juice

1 tsp hulled tahini

1 tsp macadamia or coconut oil

Combine all ingredients in food processor and blend until smooth – you may need to add more water as you go to create the desired consistency.

Refrigerate and serve with vegetables or crackers.


STICKY DATE PIKeLETS 

2 cups of self raising wholemeal flour

1 cup milk of choice

2 eggs

4 medjool dates pitted and diced

2 tbs boiling water

Cover dates in boiling water for approx 30 min

Combine all ingredients and mix well

Cook in non stick pan on medium heat in desired size.


WATERMELON PIZZA

Slice fresh watermelon into triangles

Top with fresh or frozen berries, walnuts, coconut, pepitas, banana slices

Serve
