Hello February!

January was an incredible month for us. With the amazing event and the amazing forum speakers, we really wanted to start the year off right.

February is no different! 

We have gathered some amazing speakers, who's advice, guidance and support with help to make navigating through toddlerhood a breeze.

This months theme is NUMBERS!

We will help you introduce numbers into your little ones life, with lots of toddler approved games and activities, to spark their interest and further develop their knowledge.

Georgia & Kylie | Wednesday 7th, 10am

Georgia has been with The Sleep Mama community from the very beginning. She is the customer support manager, helping families gain quality sleep, and is the Toddler Life Forum Manager, where she helps guide parents and little ones through toddlerhood.

Georgia has a Bachelor of Psychological Science from Griffith University, with a focus on child development, and has over 7 years experience working with children.

Georgia is a step-mama to a beautiful little girl, so understands the challenges that can arise in co-parenting dynamics as well as the importance of supporting and maintaining a little ones emotional well-being.

Not only will Georgia be writing weekly blogs for the Toddler Life Forum and answering day to day questions, Kylie and herself will also be doing a Live Q +A, covering common, and tricky, toddler behaviours.

This months topic will be "hitting". 

Krissy Ropiha | Tuesday 13th, 12PM

The amazing Krissy is back, providing our forum family with some amazing, toddler approved recipes.

Being a mama of two, she understands the important balance needed between tasty and nutritional meals and will be providing some daycare friendly, lunch box ideas!

Krissy Ropiha is a Certified Nutrition and Health Coach and Psychology graduate, passionate about supporting, inspiring and empowering busy mums to take back control of their health, get nourishing meals on the table in less than 30 minutes and feel confident in their own unique body.

Striving for nourishment, not perfection.

Emily bishop | MONDAY 19TH, 12PM

Emily is an occupational therapist who has worked with children of all ages in hospital, school and community settings in Australia and overseas. Emily has travelled extensively for work and leisure, and enjoys seeing how children all over the world learn, grow and play. Emily has worked at Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in Brisbane, a rehabilitation centre for children in Vietnam, a school for children with learning disabilities in Fiji, refugee children and their families, and currently works in the Child Development Service in Cairns.

Emily completed a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy in 2005, and completed additional post -graduate studies in paediatric occupational therapy in 2011 to further her skills and knowledge for working with children and families.  This has helped her in being able to problem solve with families to help children maximum their participation in every day and meaningful activities.

Emily will be chatting to our Toddler Life Families all about sensory processing and answering all related questions!


Gold coast swim stars | Tuesday 27th, 12pm

Owner & Operator of Gold Coast Swim Stars, Michelle Deeth grew up in Sawtell NSW, and swam competitively at a state level before moving into coaching in 1997.

In 2005 she moved to the Gold Coast and realised her dream of operating her own swimming school.

Michelle can be seen in the water at Gold Coast Swim Stars everyday, teaching a variety of ages and levels. Michelle prides herself on personally tailoring a program for every child’s individual needs, ensuring your child develops a strong swimming stroke.

The Gold Coast Swim Stars team is passionate about water safety being a positive part of a child’s swimming experience. They pride ourselves on helping children have fun while learning. All teachers are fully accredited with Austswim Australia and hold current CPR certificates and Blue Cards for working with children.

With swimming being an important part of many family lifestyle's, Michelle will be explaining the importance of swim safety with our Toddler Life forum families and answering all swim related questions.
