Dr Kyla Smith | Mealtime Building Blocks

Dr Kyla Smith is a paediatric dietitian who specialises in fussy eating. She is passionate about working with picky eaters and their families to help make mealtimes more enjoyable for everyone.

Kyla has worked with fussy eaters for 10 years and understands the difficulties parents face- she definitely won't tell you to "just make them eat it!"

Kyla also lectures in Dietetics at a Perth university and has completed her PhD in childhood obesity. She’s also just launched a new subscriber website for parents about to introduce solids to their babies.

She is based in Leeming, W.A, but offers a home visiting service to Perth families, amongst other things.

Theo Mallos | Rescueblue First Aid

Theo Mallos - BHthSc (Paramedic), Intensive Care Paramedic, 2018 Victor Chang Award Recipient; is a current operational frontline paramedic working in Sydney. 

Theo has over ten years experience in emergency prehospital care. His years of experience have inspired him to become the Managing Director of Rescueblue, a baby first aid training company.

Theo's goal is to bring his knowledge from the field into the classroom to ensure that all parents are equipped with the skills required to save a child's life.  

In addition to this, Theo believes that all people have the right to learn first aid no matter their socio-economic circumstances.

As such Theo has worked tirelessly to develop courses that are easily accessed online by citizens of low-income nations. 

This month, Theo will be chatting to our Toddler Life Forum members all about burns!


Kirby Morrison  | Early Childhood Educator

Live Chat: Friday, 21st September, 12 pm. 

Kirby is a mama to Frankie (4) and Winnie (17months). She completed a Diploma Of Children's services in 2006 and is a few subjects shy of completing a Bachelor of Education, specialising in Early Childhood.

Kirby says that her greatest achievement to date is being a mum to her two girls. " They have taught me more about myself, and the needs of children more than any of the above"

She has worked across many areas in the early childhood sector, from long daycare, community based preschool and is now running her own family daycare. After years of working in the industry before having children of her own, then experiencing being a parent and sending a little one off to daycare, She understands how important it is to find the perfect fit for care for your little one. 

Kirby will be chatting to our Forum families all things ‘daycare’, and how to find somewhere that meets the needs of you and your family. She will discuss what questions to ask centre's and what to look for when you are visiting places, as well as the differences between the settings.

Kylie & Georgia | The Sleep Mama

Live Chat: 

Kylie, known as The Sleep Mama, is a qualified infant sleep consultant,  baby educator and mama to twin boys.

Georgia is the customer support manager, helping families gain quality sleep, and is the Toddler Life Forum Manager, where she helps guide parents and little ones through toddlerhood.

Georgia has a Bachelor of Psychological Science from Griffith University, with a focus on child development, and has over 7 years experience working with children.

Not only will Georgia be writing weekly blogs for the Toddler Life Forum and answering day to day questions, Kylie and herself will also be doing a live Q & A, answering all questions you may have about toddlers and parenting!
